Domino Hits the Mark with Record Sales of D-series plus Scribing Laser Solutions

May 2010 - Domino, one of the worlds largest producers of advanced laser systems for high quality product coding requirements, has announced record sales levels for two of its best selling laser coding solutions. In particular, Dominos next-generation D-Series plus range of industrial scribing lasers has enjoyed massive success since the start of the year, surpassing forecasts by a significant margin.
The results reflect strong across-the-board performance from Domino during the first four months of its new financial year (Nov-Feb), which saw the Cambridge-based group enjoy impressive overall sales revenues for new equipment that were 31% up on the same period last year.
Fulfilling manufacturers requirements by offering both flexibility and modularity, Dominos customisable D-Series plus range of laser systems meets the ever-present need to address changing industry trends in coding and marking applications. “The increasing interest in Dominos robust and easy-to-use scribing laser systems is testament to their reliability that is underpinned by a solid sales and technical support structure,” explains Thorsten Foecking, Product Director for Domino’s laser product range.
These attributes are enhanced by the in-built ability of the D-Series plus to improve overall equipment effectiveness, which is achieved thanks to an intuitive set-up that reduces operator errors and minimises changeover times.
The D-Series plus is ideal for marking consistent, permanent clear codes onto a variety of substrates including paper, cartons, plastics and glass, while also responding to the widespread migration from linear barcodes to 2D codes for unique identification. At the same time, workflow is upheld, thanks to its ability to code across a wide range of production speeds up to 400m/min, in a variety of fonts from 0.5mm to 180mm high.
