Upgrade for the UNISET at SIGRAF
Friday 30. April 2010 - 64 full color newspaper pages in future
Upgrades of newspaper presses aim at increasing competitiveness and production flexibility. This is why the Italian printing company SIGRAF has decided to upgrade its UNISET installed in 2007 for full color 64-page production.
Previously the 64-tabloid page UNISET at SIGRAF S.p.A. in Treviglio could print 32 pages four-color. At the time manroland installed the UNISET in a new printing hall in 2007, the upgrade was already planned. Now manroland is to install an additional H-type printing unit and an eight-couple tower starting in mid-2010. SIGRAF owner and President Goffredo Signorelli: “By upgrading the UNISET to full color we can react more flexibly to the wishes of our customers and offer them an expanded product portfolio.” Thus the printing company that produces regional newspapers, advertising plus church and community publications remains true to his strategy of expansion through innovation.
Quality impresses the customers
The printers at SIGRAF are full of praise for the ergonomics and performance of the UNISET, and this enthusiasm obviously has a positive effect on production quality: numerous customers who are very satisfied with the print quality and service from SIGRAF are ample proof of this. Besides the manroland technology and the well-trained staff that understand how to get the best out of the technology, the outstanding prepress work at SIGRAF is a success factor. This company in Treviglio was the first printer in Italy to work with CtP and has continually expanded its expertise in this field.
