IDC, a leading provider of IT research and advice, issued its independent multivendor study and found that HP Managed Print Services earned high scores in terms of its overall current portfolio and strategic direction.
The IDC study found that HP has leveraged HP Enterprise Services to yield a number of very large MPS contracts. IDC stated that HP has a proven track record of training and effectively deploying a large, direct sales organization. Additionally, IDC mentioned that HPs services portfolio reflects rich enhancements to the manageability of its hardware devices through the use of its embedded Open Extensibility Platform (OXP) architecture, integration with its existing software platforms and those of partners, and strong alignment with its service delivery channels.
“Customers are striving to find ways to reduce costs, conserve resources and streamline workflows,” said John Johasky, vice president and general manager, Managed Enterprise Solutions, Imaging and Printing Group, HP. “HP provides the market with intelligent services that enable customers to be more strategic about imaging and printing.”
Smart planning and execution wins the race
According to IDCs study, HPs strength and key differentiators rest on its ability to deliver focused and effective solutions through both direct and indirect channels. The study found that HPs portfolio, sales, marketing and customer services strategies and execution capabilities were especially strong.
“Organizations understand the value they can achieve with managed print services and HPs MPS strategy and service offerings demonstrate significant comprehension of customer needs and delivery requirements according to our recent study,” said Michael Orasin, research manager, Document Solutions, IDC.
