Océ Expands Finishing Portfolio with New Integrated Tape Binder for Océ VarioPrint Printers
Thursday 29. April 2010 - Inline printing and binding bring greater productivity to booklet production workflow
Océ, an international leader in digital document management and delivery, announces that it has expanded its finishing portfolio with the addition of the Océ DFS30 tape binder for Océ VarioPrint systems. Users in the public sector, education, commercial print shops and others can produce bound products finished with efficiency and quality.
“Booklet making has already proven to be a popular application for Océ VarioPrint printers. Now, the Océ DSF30 tape binder further extends the usability of these productive printing systems for bound documents without increasing the labor or steps involved. The physical integration of printer and binder ensures a smooth, virtually trouble-free process, reducing manual intervention to an absolute minimum. Booklets can be printed and tape bound in one simple, convenient operation,” said Eric De Goeijen, Vice President of Marketing, Océ North America Production Printing Systems division.
Direct Integration with Printer
The Océ DFS30 tape binder can be directly attached to any of Océ’s medium- to high-volume black and white cutsheet printers, including the Océ VarioPrint Ultra family. It offers quick set up and simple operation via an LCD control panel.
Production operations can replace less efficient equipment with Océ VarioPrint systems and bring greater productivity and flexibility to their existing workflow. The Océ DFS30 tape binder joins other Océ finishing solutions for the Océ VarioPrint family, including booklet making, perfect binding, inserting, book production, document binding and punching solutions.
Wide Variety of Bound Documents
The Océ DFS30 tape binder can handle reports, user and technical manuals, training manuals, phone books, price lists, and other bound documents. The Océ DFS30 tape binder binding capacity ranges from a minimum of ten sheets to a maximum of 120 sheets (240 pages) in a document, with support for flush cut tabs. Card covers can be added too for a professional, durable document. Tape strips are available in four colors: black, dark blue, red and white, with 100 strips in each quick-loading cartridge.
Worldwide deliveries start June 2010.
