INX to showcase EVOLVE digital solutions at Cannex
Tuesday 20. April 2010 - INX International Ink Co. has a long and successful track record in the metal decorating industry with many innovations to show for it. Thats why attendees at this years Cannex de las Americas wont be disappointed. INX (booth #517) will unveil its new line of EVOLVE Advanced Digital Solutions, which includes the CP100 can printer. The show runs April 27-29 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas.
The CP100 is one of two innovative printers INX debuted at PRINT 09 last September. The MD660 UV flatbed printer was also introduced in Chicago and both devices made highly favorable impressions on show visitors.
“At the time we offered the CP100 as a technology preview,” said Jim Lambert, Vice President and General Manager – Digital Division of INX International. “In the last six months, weve fine tuned the machine. It offers outstanding quality, single or multi-pass output with an advanced UV LED-curing system, and a high speed loading mechanism that can be fully integrated into a customers workflow. Both the CP100 and MD660 flatbed printer also use INX Digital EVOLVE brand UV inks, and another tremendous advantage is both are supported by a team of digital integration specialists who are trained to assist and help customers with the transition to digital printing.”
The CP100 is designed for the short run production of cylindrical printing, making it an interesting consideration for any printer looking to create specialized packaging and a new revenue stream. It offers an option of single or multi-pass through-cured 4-color output with an advanced UV LED curing system. The high speed technology of this printer is ideal for 2-piece cans, and it delivers exceptionally consistent, eye-catching color using proven and patented Xaar print heads.
The MD660 UV flatbed printer presents an interesting new option for metal decorating customers. A cost effective solution that produces real metal sample proofs quickly for the short run production of decorative tins, general line containers and aerosols, this printer achieves extremely high resolution over 1000 dpi using proven and reliable print head technology. In tandem with the EVOLVE inks, it produces impressive results on a variety of coated and uncoated media and aluminum, including Fome-Cor, PVC, Styrene, corrugated plastic, plywood, MDO, aluminum plastic composite, cardboard, paper, acrylic and glass.
“The EVOLVE concept will promote the wide array of high quality products that help our customers make money,” Lambert said. “The MD660 printer is a prime example of a cost effective solution for metal decorators looking to transition into digital production. Our integration expertise will help printers looking to expand their portfolios and develop new capabilities for niche markets.”
INX will also display at Cannex a complete line of ink and coating solutions including 2-piece, flat sheet and digital applications. Ink solutions vary, ranging from conventional to UV, and will feature tactile inks and the new low temperature TP Vision Plus 3 conventional ink system for 3-piece metal decorating applications. Extremely flexible, it is the most environmentally friendly conventional 3-piece ink ever developed by INX and cures at 120-degrees Celsius, providing a 20 percent-plus savings on energy costs. Four-color process is now available and Opaque White will be ready this summer.
