ProCo Print opts for additional Stahlfolder
Thursday 25. March 2010 - Sheffield marketing communications provider ProCo is adding a Stahlfolder TH56 automated folder which it will run alongside a 12 year old Stahl machine.
The new machine will handle the short run, short extent work including creasing perfing and slitting inline. “We like the service and back up of Heidelberg and the name is synonymous with quality. The fact that our previous Stahlfolder has been so reliable also swayed us,” says Richard Green, production director.
“That said, we did look at the market before making our decision. We like the build quality and ease of use of the TH 56 and it seemed to fold thicker weights of material more easily and the make-readies were faster than on rival equipment. The automation is sensible on this folder.”
The TH56 is a buckle folder which handles sheets of 140 x 180mm up to 560 x 900mm sheet size at a speed of 230m/minute.
At ProCo the machine will run alongside the older folder 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The company is a solutions based business providing direct mail, digital and litho, online and warehousing services to a broad range of businesses and organisations. It will attend Ipex and one area it will investigate is the further expansion of its finishing services.
