Change of management at Develop GmbH: Dirk Roos new President of DEVELOP
Thursday 25. March 2010 - Develop GmbH, the leading supplier of modern office communication solutions, present in 48 countries worldwide, will be under new management as of April this year.
With effect from 1 April 2010 Dirk Roos, former Vice President, will assume the role as Managing Director of the company headquartered in Langenhagen, Germany. Masahiko Nagao, who has been President and Managing Director at DEVELOP for just under three years, is returning to the Group parent company Konica Minolta Business Technologies, Inc. based in Tokyo.
“It’s not easy for me to return to Tokyo after three years at the head of DEVELOP and more than 15 years in Europe. I am, however, looking forward to the new challenge of strengthening sales within the parent company and accessing new market shares in the ambitious printer market,” explained the departing Managing Director Masahiko Nagao. “I would like to thank all partners for their excellent cooperation and hope that they will continue to offer my successor the same support,” said Nagao.
Dirk Roos regards the balance between continuity and innovation as a significant challenge: “The experience and expertise of our sales partners and employees, in conjunction with further product- and service innovations, creates genuine added value within the digital communication and print solution business.”
DEVELOP is securing continuity of management with the appointment of Dirk Roos. As a member of the management team since 2002 and in charge for the German business since 2004, Roos has been responsible for national and international business operations in his capacity as Vice-President and General Manager German Operations. During this time Roos was heavily involved in the company’s successful development in Germany and abroad, and thus contributed significantly to the average annual growth of 17.5 percent in 2004-2009. Where human resources management is concerned, Roos supports appreciation of the individual and active promotion of lifelong willingness to learn on the part of every single employee. Amongst other things, this was reflected in the company receiving an award from the TOP JOB – The best medium-sized business employers initiative.
