SCREEN APPOINTS VALKANOV TRADE EQUIPMENT AS DISTRIBUTOR OF ITS DIGITAL DEVICES IN BULGARIA AND MACEDONIA

Tuesday 23. March 2010 - As part of its Print on Demand (POD) expansion strategy, Screen is pleased to announce that it has appointed Valkanov Trade Equipment (VTE) as its exclusive distributor in Bulgaria and Macedonia. VTE will sell and support Screen's digital range of products, which includes the Truepress Jet520 high-speed colour web press, the Truepress Jet2500UV wide format printer and the Truepress 344 DI offset press.

On the VTE partnership, Bruce Hilltout, Screen’s European Sales Manager, says, “We are looking forward to working with VTE in its digital markets. I am confident that the vast knowledge and extensive experience of this distributor will help us to successfully introduce our digital printing systems to Bulgaria and Macedonia.”

VTE is a division of Valkanov Trade Company (VTC), the largest supplier of graphic arts consumables in Bulgaria. VTC has a 55% share of the plates market and 37% of the full spectrum of graphic arts consumables and equipment sold in Bulgaria. As focus began to move towards digital technologies, VTC established its VTE equipment division. Two years ago, the company became a Screen distributor and has a turnover of •1.5 million in machine sales.
