Presidents Award
Xplor records go back to 1991 and the first award winners name is part of those records as well as a graduate of the EDP class in the same year. In 2009, Xplor launched two new programs that not only were extremely successful but also helped refocus Xplors direction. The monthly Lunch and Learn webinars and 2009 XDU On the Road programs were a direct result of the award winners original idea and ongoing commitment. She speaks all over the world and in every instance, promotes Xplor. Xplor pleased to recognize Pat McGrew, EDP Data Center & Transaction Segment Evangelist at Kodak, as the 2010 winner of the Xplor Presidents award.
Xplorer of the Year
The Xplorer of the Year honors an individuals volunteer service to the Association, dedication to the Xplor mission and promotion of the interests of the electronic document systems industry at large. For the first time this year, Xplor will be honoring two individuals. The first individual has been active in Xplor since 1998, involved in chapter and region activities and served as a member of the Association board of directors. He remains a tireless proponent of the association and over the last year has worked with Xplor in various areas that have assisted in new programming and direction of the association. The first Xplorer of the Year award goes to Kemal Carr, EDP President and Principal Analyst of Madison Advisors, as a 2010 Xplorer of the Year.
The other individual, another longtime Xplor member, is active in the Midwest Region as well as the Ohio chapter. In 2009, he undertook the task of becoming chair of the EDP Commission and under his leadership and the support of the commission; Xplor was able to launch the new EDA and M-EDP designations. In addition, during this time, he actively supported and helped many of the members of the first class of Master EDPs.
It is my honor and pleasure to also name Don Scrima, M-EDP as an Xplorer of the Year for 2010.
