Ortek extends its ink cartridge population

Friday 12. March 2010 - Ortek Colour Printers has bought a further four ink-line cartridge units for its pressroom. The latest batch will run on a Komori LS 640. It already runs cartridges on a ten- and five-colour press.

Craig Morris, managing director of Ortek, says: “It’s convenient, quick and efficient and it reduces waste which is important to us as an ISO 14001 accredited company. The operators like ink.line. They pop in a cartridge and press a button. It’s clean and efficient.”

The quality- and service-focused Walsall printer offers litho, digital and web2print services for a diverse customer base. It offers a round the clock, five days a week service with weekend overtime when required.

“Having run technotrans ink cartridges for about five years now it was automatic for us to specify this option at press order stage. The technotrans engineers installed it on site, speedily and efficiently,” says Mr Morris.

Silverline, the company’s waste removal partner, takes away the used ink cartridges on a weekly basis.
