Streamline Press add additional output capacity with the addition of an :Advantage N-SA CTP from Agfa
Thursday 18. February 2010 - Streamline Press located in Fitzroy, VIC have installed an additional Agfa CTP device giving the capability to increase output capacity by a further 45 Goss Community plates per hour. The new :Advantage N-SA CTP with :VPP68 processor has been recently installed in addition to the existing Polaris CTP.
The :Advantage N-SA was the perfect choice for Streamline Press to complement the existing Polaris CTP device. With its small footprint, the new machine was installed alongside the Polaris allowing plates to be made on either line.
The existing :Arkitex workflow has been upgraded to include a second NewsDrive that will enable plates to be directed to either of the output devices giving Streamline greater flexibility.
With its unique violet laser imaging system, :Advantage N combines speed and reliability for small to mid-size newspaper and coldset web printers. Violet laser diodes provide a lifetime of use with the lowest cost of ownership. The :Advantage N-SA is designed to handle both Agfa Graphics’ current N91V and the new chemistry-free N92-VCF plate. Three versions of the:Advantage N are available and can image up to 100 single plates per hour. Features include automatic plate loading from a 100-plate stack loader, automatic slip-sheet removal (on the N-SL) and on-line processing. The new :Advantage N family of platesetters combines the best of all previous generations into four new exciting models, including the manual :Advantage N-M and :Advantage N-SA, and the automatic plate loading :Advantage N-SL and the :Advantage N-DL.
