Xplor International, the worldwide electronic document systems association, today named the recipients of its annual 2010 awards. Innovator of the Year Award: each year, Xplor International recognizes an individual, company or an organization that has conceived and developed an original concept leading to a significant advancement in the industry. The “Innovator” has advanced a new program, product or technology that notably enhances the capabilities of electronic document systems. This year, the award is being presented to GMC Software Technology and their recently announced GMC PortalBuilder software solution that simplifies the process and opens the door for marketing firms, print service providers and enterprises to implement timesaving, web-enabled storefronts for variable data documents and integrated personalized multi-channel campaigns.
Due to the large number and highly qualified submissions, an honorable mention for the Innovator of the Year Award category will also be given to Prinova Technologies for their messagepoint product, which bridges the gap between Enterprise CRM/EMM tools and document composition engines.
Technology Application Award: Xplor also recognizes organizations for their imaginative application of current technology that establishes an industrys direction. This year, Xplor recognizes ABnote of Sao Paolo, Brazil, part of the multinational secure printing business, American Banknote and a pioneer in the implementation of TransPromo solutions for a highly successful pilot program for one of the worlds largest banks, prepared from scratch and rolled out in just six weeks with the help of GMC Software Technologys PrintNet suite of personalization software.
To conduct the trial, ABnote installed its first HP Indigo press and GMCs PrintNet software suite in the same month. Initially, 20,000 TransPromo statements were mailed in September with ABnotes banking customer already seeing preliminary and very strong results in October. Additional test runs of 500,000 color TransPromo statements in October and again in November provided a good base for assessing the ROI, which provided outstanding results.
In addition to ABnote, an honorable mention in this category will be given to Xenos for successful implementation of their Document Storage Reduction solution for ECM.
All award winners will be honored at Xplors Award Ceremony, Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 3:30 to 4:30 PM at the Xplor Global Conference and Vendor Forum n Tampa Bay, Florida. In addition, the Lifetime Achievement, Xplorer of the Year and Chairmans Award winner will also be recognized.
