Co-Ex Containers Match Safety and Style

RPC Montpont has launched a new range of 5 litre plastic containers, including a U.N. approved co-ex variant ideal for volatile petroleum products.

Monday 01. February 2010 - RPC Montpont has launched a new range of 5 litre plastic containers, including a U.N. approved co-ex variant ideal for volatile petroleum products.

The containers have been designed to meet customers’ desire for a packaging solution that combines technical requirements with marketing considerations. With its modern design, convenient function and decorative options, the container stands out on shelf, but its robust construction keeps the product safe and protects consumers.

RPC Montpont believes that the design and technical properties of the range provide brands in a wide variety of markets – including lubricants, home and garden, and detergents – with an elegant alternative to the well-known 5 litre jerrycan.

The container can be blow moulded in both mono HDPE and co-extruded HDPE / PA. The latter construction enables the container to be used to pack more volatile solutions – especially those that are petroleum-based – which require the extra degree of protection offered by co-extrusion. Typical applications include two-stroke fuel for lawnmowers and other garden equipment.

The co-ex container is fully certified under U.N. regulations, confirming its suitability for the packaging of potentially volatile products.

Consumer convenience is assured thanks to the container’s ergonomic handle and a handy visi-stripe that provides instant verification of how much product is left in the container. A child resistant cap provides further security.

The container is supplied as standard in an attractive silver finish, but RPC Montpont can manufacture it in a number of colours to suit brand owner requirements. The wide labelling area delivers further scope to personalise the design.
