LABELEXPO LAUNCHES SOUTH CHINA LABEL SHOW
Friday 29. January 2010 - The Labelexpo Global Series has this week announced the launch of the South China Label Show, which will take place on 25-27 October 2010 at the Jinhan Exhibition Center in Guangzhou.
The launch follows the success of Labelexpo Asia 2009, which recently attracted 16,601 visitors. Market feedback clearly indicated the need for a show in the south – one of the countrys main printing and production hubs. The Pearl River Delta (incorporating Guangdong Province, Hong Kong and Macau has been widely termed as “the factory of the world”. Guangdong Province alone has some 18,000 print related organizations, with 1500 of these specifying in narrow web applications.
Labelexpo already held a very successful conference-based event in Guangzhou in 2006. The new show, however, will be a full exhibition featuring a wide range of presses and other working machinery. This will be complemented by an educational seminar program, including case studies and trend overviews.
Annual per capita label consumption in China is less than one square metre (in the US and Europe it is over 15 square metres), giving an indication of the tremendous growth potential of the region.
Roger Pellow, Labelexpo Managing Director said: “China continues to be one of the worlds most exciting label markets and this was clearly seen at Labelexpo Asia last year. Many recent advances in label technology, both in China and around the world, provide extraordinary opportunities for label converters and manufacturers. This makes it the perfect time to launch the South China Label Show, which as part of the Labelexpo portfolio. It will be great to be in Guangzhou with visitors and exhibitors alike benefiting from doing business, sharing knowledge and, most importantly, networking and setting up new partnerships and contracts. We look forward to welcoming the whole industry at the new show.”
