Metso to continue employee negotiations on temporary lay-offs in Kiuruvesi unit in Finland
Thursday 17. December 2009 - Metso will continue the employee negotiations concluded on September 25, 2009, with negotiations on temporary lay-offs in MW Biopower Oys Kiuruvesi unit in Finland. Further negotiations are started due to adjusting the operations to the prolonged but temporary decrease in order backlog.
The negotiations affect employees in Kiuruvesi unit, altogether 83 people. The outcome of the negotiations will be announced by beginning of February 2010.
MW Biopower Oy is part of Metso-Wärtsilä joint venture, MW Power Oy. The Kiuruvesi unit employs 83 people and manufactures structures for power and heating and plants.
