Test Management SaaS from Tieto: A Unique collaboration

Friday 04. December 2009 - Testing is an essential part of software development, and is vital to ensuring that new systems perform as required and keep businesses ahead of the competition. But as software is expected to be in production as quickly as possible, testing can often be neglected.

Testing is one of the most dynamic areas of the European IT market, and leading European analyst and research firm Pierre Audoin Consultants (PAC), has recently released a new White Paper on the current trends in the testing sector. As part of the analysis, it has also provided an independent assessment of the Test Management Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering from Tieto. The test management Service from Tieto is based on Hewlett-Packard (HP) Quality Center.

In the White Paper, PAC states that the Test Management SaaS offering from Tieto and HP is a rare and interesting example of a mature SaaS-based offering with an established customer base and a track record of successful execution.

“Based on PAC’s recent analysis of the global testing services market, we believe that the Tieto/HP proposition is a unique collaboration that addresses many of the pain points in the current business environment. The features of the proposition that PAC believes to be unavailable elsewhere in the industry are:
Tieto is the only vendor supporting HP Quality Center via this delivery model
Proven experience of seven years of successful SaaS delivery execution
High level of flexibility with a minimum commitment of just one month.”

Tieto has a long-term partnership with HP to support its software testing tools. In the beginning of 2009 Tieto Finland was selected to HP’s Preferred Partner.

Test Management SaaS is a fast, flexible, and cost effective way to use the market’s leading test management tool. The SaaS model is risk free for the client, with the software and environment maintained by the supplier. The costs of the service are predictable and based on agreed usage. Furthermore, the agreed usage volume can be flexibly raised, or lowered, to meet the customer’s needs.
