Baldwin Announces New Press Equipment Orders
Tuesday 27. October 2009 - Baldwin Technology Company, Inc. (NYSE Amex: BLD), a leader in process automation technology for the global printing industry, announced today that it has received approximately $1.2 million in equipment orders from two Japanese newspaper and commercial publishers, Kousoku-Offset and Asagami Press Center.
The Kousoku-Offset order includes Baldwin’s Super Washer product and spray dampening systems to be installed on a new TKS printing press at Kousoku-Offsets Settsu Plant. Delivery is planned for July 2010 and February 2011. Kousoku-Offset is a group company of Mainichi Newspaper, one of Japan’s three largest newspapers in circulation and number of employees. Kousoku-Offset operates five printing facilities, which print commercial material as well as newspapers including the mass circulation Mainichi Shimbun group and Sports Nippon group.
The Asagami Press Center order includes Baldwins spray dampening system to be installed on a new TKS 6200 press between November 2009 and October 2010. Asagami operates seven sets of presses at three printing facilities, and prints commercial material as well as newspapers. The company prints newspapers for Yomiuri Shimbun group, Tokyo Shimbun group and others.
