Global success for Q.I. Press Controls at IFRA 2009
Monday 26. October 2009 - Q.I. Press Controls closes 1.8 million in orders
Ifra Expo 2009 in Vienna has been an extremely successful show for Q.I. Press Controls. Six orders were closed on the busy, “pure white” stand, the projects were from companies in Sweden, Finland, Germany, Hungary and Spain. The order value for these totalled in excess of 1.8 million – with more to come!
Currently investments are not easily concluded in the current economic climate, but when the benefits and savings outweigh the expenditure, it is easier to justify the investment with a rapid ROI. This is the case with Q.I. Press Controls solutions; they deliver the improvement in quality and efficiency on the one hand, but in addition recover the investment in a short term. During IFRA Expo 2009, once again this was evident to the customer base and though under even more financial scrutiny than usual the return and benefits were clearly visible and attainable.
Mittmedia Print Group from Gävle, Sweden shook hands with Q.I. Press Controls for the installation of the innovative mRC with the micro marks on their KBA Journal press. With a total of 18 local newspapers and 7 print shops in various locations within the centre of Sweden, Mittmedia print is one of the largest print group in the country. Another Scandinavian order, closed through KBA, was with Bottnia Print (Finland), a subsidiary of one of Q.I. Press Controls earliest customers, Art-Print. For Bottnia Print Q.I. Press Controls will equip their recently purchased KBA Cortina with both mRC automatic colour and cut-off register control utilizing the same micro marks for both functions.
The Q.I. Press Controls German office closed an order with Greiserdruck in Rastatt, Germany whom not only decided for mRC automatic register control for colour and cut-off on their KBA COLORA Anilox Press, but also opted for Q.I. Press Controls closed loop fan out system, the (ABD) Air Bustle Device and in addition the IQM management Information system. The second order placed with Q.I. Press Controls Germany was with Kieler Zeitung and just as with Greiserdruck they opted for the mRC colour and cut-off register control along with the IQM on their manroland COLORMAN. Their was also more great news for Q.I. Press Controls Spain whom successfully won the business with Sociedad Vascongada de Producciones, s.l for the mRC automatic colour register on their KBA Comet.
The IDS client base of 92 systems worldwide could also be increased with Veszprém Printing Press in Hungary as they ordered IDS, the closed loop markless colour control system along with the mRC colour register with micro marks for their manroland ROTOMAN, which has 8 units and 2 webs.
Naturally, Jaco Bleijenberg, Director of International Sales of Q.I. Press Controls is extremely pleased with the level of business concluded at IFRA . “It was difficult to predict if this years IFRA would be as successful as previous years, but we can definitely confirm that we had an excellent show. Cost reduction programs in the market resulted in investment in our systems demonstrating that the requirement to produce a consistent high quality product whilst reducing waste and costs is as vital as ever, if not more so now.”
