DuPont Recognized as Transparency Leader
Monday 19. October 2009 - DuPont is again included in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) Global 500 and S&P 500 Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index (CDLI).
Inclusion in the CDLI recognizes the company for its “most professional approach to corporate governance in respect to climate change disclosure practices.” The CDLI, a ranking applied to companies responding to an investor questionnaire, shows at a glance the range and quality of the information disclosed.
“Addressing climate change is a critical global issue,” said Linda Fisher, vice president, DuPont Safety, Health & Environment & Chief Sustainability Officer. “We are pleased the Carbon Disclosure Project has recognized DuPont’s leadership role in reducing our carbon footprint and providing transparency to our stakeholders.”
An independent, not-for-profit organization, the CDP gathers data through its annual information requests on behalf of 475 institutional investors who manage assets of $55 trillion as well as purchasing organizations and governing bodies. The purpose is better understanding of company climate change disclosure practices. The questionnaire asks for information in the areas of:

With a score of 80, DuPont topped the performance score list of material suppliers on the S&P Index, along with PPG Industries. DuPont ranked sixth among materials suppliers in the Global Index.
