New Océ PRISMAproduction accelerates productivity
The next generation of Océ PRISMAproduction server, version 4.02, introduces enhancements to help print professionals improve control, efficiency and integrity. The enhancements streamline transactional and graphic arts prepress functions; let customers mirror jobs at a second site; simplify navigation, browsing and job reprinting; and add job, device and user accounting and reporting features, as well as on-screen previewing of jobs. The new release includes workflow extensions that allow users to bring external processes and services into Océ PRISMA workflow. Current integration includes closed-loop reprint systems; Intelligent Mail barcode packages; and an interface with high-level enterprise control systems, customer databases and external accounting packages.
Océ PRISMAproduction interconnectivity connects two Océ PRISMAproduction servers at the same or different sites via local or wide area network to automatically mirror jobs at the second site. As a result, users can share job and status information across locations, protect against data loss, centralize monitoring and management of jobs, and balance workloads across sites.
and more features
Simplified navigation, browsing and manual reprinting are accessible from the GUI. Operators can search jobs by content to identify mail pieces or portions of a document for reprinting.
Océ PRISMAproduction accounting provides enhanced accounting and reporting capabilities to help customers track, measure and quantify performance across the production floor, capture up-to-the-minute production data, generate reports and eliminate delays and downtime. An integrated accounting database supports SQL-based queries or reports using popular tools such as Crystal Reports and Microsoft Access.
A new job preview feature enables users to view black and white and full-color images on screen exactly as theyll print before jobs go into production, eliminating the time, costs and hassles of producing hard-copy proofs.
Océ PRISMAproduction V4.02 server is available for immediate delivery worldwide.
Latest Océ Document Designer Advanced speeds application development
Print professionals often need to modify spooled print files without impacting the original application. The newest version of Océ Document Designer Advanced (ODDA) document composition software offers major enhancements in application re-engineering, data security and ease of use. While the previous ODDA version already provided a well-defined tool to re-engineer AFP, PDF and PostScript files, ODDA 6.0 adds PCL files to this list. ODDA enables the highest degree of re-usability of current assets and resources. With AFP, PDF, PostScript and now PCL files supported, ODDA helps customers manage existing legacy applications more effectively.
Version 6.0 also provides a full range of new features for easy workflow design providing accelerated application development and output generation. A Check 21 module has been added to process checks even faster. New encryption capabilities increase data security, a useful feature for customers who want to control who prints applications or who needs to transfer data.
