Océ, an international leader in digital document management and delivery, today debuted the Océ PRISMAcolorworks digital front end enabled by CREO Color Server Technology digital front end for the Océ ColorStream 10000 system. The new digital front end supports the Océ ColorStream 10000 series high-end full-color web-fed press to streamline workflow for outstanding 5-color printing.

High-end color server

The new Océ PRISMAcolorworks server provides state-of-the-art quality for high-value graphic arts, book publishing and other applications. It offers comprehensive, easy-to-use graphic arts functionality for enhancing prepress work and smooth processing of a broad range of graphic arts applications including books, brochures, manuals and marketing collateral.

Users can spend less effort manipulating color files and correcting mistakes. Processing time for complex color jobs is also reduced. This new front end brings advantages to existing CREO Color Server environments with minimal interruption. The familiar interface, color management, CREO Color Server workflow and robust image processing allow smooth integration into established operations.

Variable communications are fueling some of the strongest growth in the printing industry. The Océ PRISMAcolorworks server meets the demand for flexible, full-color variable data printing to benefit commercial print providers and the direct mail industry. The server supports a wide range of variable data printing formats, including PPML and VPS.

Working in hybrid environments

Often, customers in the graphic arts market must support a combination of offset and digital workflows. The new Océ PRISMAcolorworks enabled by CREO Color Server Technology seamlessly handles these hybrid environments, so users can simplify their technology investment without sacrificing functionality. CREO Color Server users can add digital printing to their offset offerings, the Océ ColorStream systems are ready to go immediately. As a result, printers can more quickly adopt offset-to-digital strategies and build their business.
