Gardners Installs UKs first HP Scitex FB7500 Printer

HP today announced that Gardners has installed the UKs first HP Scitex FB7500 Printer to increase its capacity and offer customers a competitive alternative to screen printing.
Gardners is based in Cardiff, Wales and was established in 1976. It operates an extensive range of HP printing equipment including two each of following: HP Scitex XP2300 Printers, HP Scitex FB6100 Printers, HP Scitex XP5100 Printers, HP Scitex TJ8350 Printers and nine HP Scitex XP2100 Printers. Gardners specialises in the production of high volume banners, posters, billboards, retail point of sale items and the development and production of specialised software solutions across many different sectors.
Designed to target traditional screen-printing applications, the HP Scitex FB7500 Printer offers users the highest productivity of equipment in its price class, with the ability to produce 105 (1.2 x 2.4m) sheets or 95 full beds (3.6m x 1.6m) per hour. The machine uses a six-colour process to maximise print-quality and enhance applications.
“With the HP Scitex FB7500 Printer we are able to achieve high quality prints at considerably higher speeds than on our other flatbeds,” said Richard Gardner, managing director, Gardners. “We have also been able to transfer some of the work from our large format eco-solvent machines giving us savings on finishing and increasing our capacity.”
With the ability to print on both flexible and rigid media the HP Scitex FB7500 Printer has a range of features to maximise throughput and increase versatility. Using three quarter automation and a highly accurate and intuitive loading mechanism provides the productivity and adaptability needed for large format applications.
“Digital is opening new doors, allowing cost-savings and productivity gains from previously analogue jobs as well as new applications that can only be printed with digital technology, like billboard versioning and localised point of purchase and point of sale displays.
