Atlantic Zeiser Brings the Future of Packaging and Labeling to FACHPACK 09
Tuesday 29. September 2009 - GAMMA 70 full color inkjet and PackageLine Advanced to take center stage
Atlantic Zeiser, a leading innovator and technology supplier for the packaging and label industries, today announced that it will be exhibiting at FACHPACK 09, scheduled for September 29th through October 1st, 2009, in Nuremberg, Germany. Atlantic Zeiser, located in Hall 9, Stand 530 at the show, will be featuring the GAMMA 70 P full-color inkjet printer and launching the new PackageLine Advanced for digital late-stage customization of packages.

Sustainable production with SMARTCURE LED UV Curing
Both of the featured Atlantic Zeiser products will be using Atlantic Zeisers SMARTCURE LED UV Curing technology, which instantly cures UV inks in an environmentally friendly manner with low energy consumption, absence of ozone emissions, reduced requirements for ventilation and cooling as well as operating lives outlasting those of conventional lamp-based systems by a factor of ten.

GAMMA 70 series: The full-color GAMMA 70 module is capable of printing at a speed of 24m/minute. It is a single-pass UV solution that incorporates Xaar 1001 print nozzles to produce stunning quality at a high native resolution of 360 dpi, and offers grayscale printing appearing visually to be as much as 1060 dpi. The module prints on a wide variety of porous and non-porous materials, such as plastic cards and films, metallic foils, cardboard and paper. With a print width of 70.5mm (2.775 inch), the GAMMA 70 can be integrated in-line with sheet-fed or web systems. The variable drop capability of the industrial-strength Xaar 1001 printhead consistently produces smooth tone graphics, fine detail, sharp text and barcodes, generating great results quickly, cost-effectively and reliably. The new module has added flexibility to operate as an industrial level full-color marking system. A variety of UV curing modules is available to suit specific applications. These include Atlantic Zeiser’s new eco-friendly SMARTCURE LED UV curing technology for temperature-sensitive products.
NEW! – PackageLine Advanced
Brand new at FACHPACK 09 is Atlantic Zeisers PackageLine Advanced, designed to simplify the process of late-stage package customization for packages with high-quality print requirements. Close co-operation with leading brand owners and package producers resulted in creating flexible, scalable systems that are application oriented and customer focused. A number of factors explain the increased demand for late-stage package customization, including the need to reduce costs by operating with smaller production quantities to minimize storage capacities; just-in-time supply with short reaction times, especially with packages marked with variable data, such as barcodes and product ingredient indications in different languages. The system on display at FACHPACK is configured with an OMEGA 72i black printer, an OMEGA 36i red spot color printer, and the SMARTCURE LED UV curing system. PackageLine Advanced will be shown as a complete integrated system with a special feeding device for flat packages from Kraus. The system also features a Kraus multi-functional transport base, waste gate and delivery module.
