Last Call for SGIA Imaging Award Competition Entries

Wednesday 23. September 2009 - Submit your best work now to be recognized at the 2009 SGIA Expo

SGIA’s prestigious Golden Image and Product of the Year Award Competitions honor technological advancements and innovative imaging that are moving the industry forward. Submit your best work before this Friday, September 25, to gain international acclaim at the 2009 SGIA Expo (New Orleans, October 7-9).

“This is a great opportunity for specialty imagers to showcase their imaging skills and get industry recognition they deserve,” said Johnny Shell, SGIA’s Vice President of Technical Services. “All competition entries will be on display at the industry’s most comprehensive printing and imaging event – the 2009 SGIA Expo.”

Golden Image (including André Schellenberg): With more than 40 categories, printers can enter almost any kind of imaged product. SGIA printer members receive one free entry; each additional entry is only $20.

Product of the Year: Suppliers can submit leading equipment and supplies that have impacted wide-format digital imaging. Awards will be honored within each of the six major categories:
-RIP software and proofing software
-Media for digital inkjet
-Inks
-Business or other workflow software
-Finishing
-Output devices

All competition entries will be evaluated by industry experts and displayed in the Golden Image Gallery during the SGIA Expo. Awards will be presented to the winners at the industry-attended Thursday Night Dinner Party on October 8 (6:30 pm-10:00 pm).
