BASF increases prices for higher alkylamines in Europe

Monday 21. September 2009 - With immediate effect , BASF is increasing the sales prices for higher alkylamines in Europe as follows:

Monoethylamine (MEA) + 70 €/t
Diethylamine (DEA) + 80 €/t
Triethylamine (TEA) + 90 €/t
Monobutylamine (MBA) + 60 €/t
Dibutylamine (DBA) + 70 €/t
Tributylamine (TBA) + 80 €/t
2-Ethylhexylamine (2-EHA) + 60 €/t
Di-(2-Ethylhexyl)amine (2-EHA) + 70 €/t

The price increase shall apply to current supply agreements as soon and as far as allowed under their terms and conditions.

These high-quality special amines form the starting material for the production of various intermediates that are used for example in the agrochemical, pharmaceutical, rubber and coatings industries.
