Learn from the Best: Publishing activities honoured at IFRA Expo 2009 in Vienna

Friday 18. September 2009 - Presentations of prestigious international media prizes at the leading event of the newspaper publishing and media industries

A major distinguishing characteristic of IFRA Expo (12 to 15 October 2009 in Vienna: www.ifraexpo.com) is that it presents outstanding examples of applications in practice, thereby permitting an exchange of experiences with colleagues from all over the world. This will be especially evident this year, as no fewer than three prestigious media prizes will be presented during the course of the exhibition.

International Newspaper Color Quality Club
The International Newspaper Color Quality Club (INCQC) is the foremost international benchmarking competition for newspaper printers (www.colorqualityclub.org). INCQC members are distinguished by a high standard of printing quality that is confirmed by recognised measuring processes and an international jury. At IFRA Expo, the 2008-2010 club members will be presented at a special exhibition (hall B, stand 475).

Final registration date for participating in the INCQC 2010 2012 competition is 31 December 2009. Interested newspaper houses have the opportunity to inform themselves about participation at the IFRA Expo Solution Park (hall A, stand 130). Roland Thees, WAN-IFRA Research Manager Newspaper Production, will present the benefits of club membership and describe the application process on Monday, 12 October, at 16.00 h and on Tuesday, 13 October, at 16.30 h. Participation in both these events is free of charge. In addition, on Thursday 15 October, from 9.00 to 13.00 h, the (English-language) INCQC Tutorial will be held that is aimed at helping participants to prepare for the competition and give valuable tips for quality management. The pre-registration price for participation is EUR 350 plus VAT
