Print Quality Sets the Screen Truepress Jet2500UV Apart from Other Inkjet Systems

Attendees of Print '09 will be able to see the superlative quality that the Truepress Jet2500UV can bring to wide-format printing.

Tuesday 15. September 2009 - Attendees of Print '09 will be able to see the superlative quality that the Truepress Jet2500UV can bring to wide-format printing.

One reason that the detail in images printed on Screen’s grand-format UV inkjet printing system surpasses that of the competition is the high imaging resolution. The Truepress Jet2500UV supports a maximum output resolution of 1,500 dpi.

But that isn’t all. The Truepress Jet2500UV takes advantage of state-of-the-art inkjet expertise, incorporating drop-on-demand, eight-level grayscale printing heads. The variable ink drops combined with Screen’s exclusive screening method enable smooth gradations for photo-quality color printing when imaging fine detail or high-density areas.

Substrate versatility
With its true hybrid capabilities, the Truepress Jet2500UV is designed to add value to printing companies’ operations. The Truepress Jet2500UV can run roll-to-roll media, including paper, vinyl film, banners and many other materials, depending on the job requirements. Products that can be created using the roll-to-roll format include posters, banners, backlit signs, fine art, billboards, decals and vehicle wraps.

Rigid substrates open up new markets for signs, transit advertising, exhibits and displays. The printing system handles high-quality printing on acrylic, glass, tiles, doors, blinds, plastics, plywood, ceramic tile and corrugated plastic materials up to 1.96 inches thick. Users can alternate between flexible and rigid substrates in minutes.

Screen’s UV-curable inks
The Truepress Jet2500UV prints with Screen’s original flexible UV inks. Unlike standard UV printing inks, these inks do not crack when the printed piece is bent, so the Truepress Jet2500UV can be used to print on media that will be bent or stretched after being printed.

The vivid color reproduction with UV inks ensures eye-catching graphics. UV-curable inks also allow for greater durability, without lamination, of printed images. Furthermore, UV inks provide rapid, high-quality printing on poster board, wallpaper, textiles and many other types of coated and uncoated media.
