Xerox/Fuji Xerox in Leaders Quadrant of 2009 Managed Print Services Report

Monday 14. September 2009 - Xerox Corporation and Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. have been positioned by Gartner, Inc., in the Leaders Quadrant of the 2009 Magic Quadrant for Managed Print Services (MPS) WorldwideNote 1.

The Magic Quadrant is a proprietary research tool developed by Gartner that offers visual snapshots of a market’s direction, maturity and participants, and evaluates companies on completeness of vision and ability to execute.

As the market leader in MPSNote 2, Xerox/Fuji Xerox work with clients like Procter & Gamble, Reuters, Sun Microsystems, KeyCorp and RTA(The Roads and Traffic Authority) to reduce operational costs by up to 30 percent and get more out of the print infrastructure they’ve invested in – from the office to the print shop to the virtual workplaceNote 3.

“Xerox’s position in the Leaders Quadrant of Gartner’s Magic Quadrant validates the strength of our offering, especially in these challenging economic times,” said Masaki Okano, president of Fuji Xerox Global Services that covers Japan and Asia Pacific. “In addition to short-term cost savings, our MPS clients around the globe boast the long-term results of a successful partnership with Xerox including enhanced productivity, increased compliance and reduced energy consumption. One of our strengths includes our capability to provide consistent services worldwide together with Xerox despite of customers’ sizes-from local, national to multinational. We continue to offer a wide range of document outsourcing services beyond MPS.”

Founded on rigorous, data-driven Lean Six Sigma-based methodologiesNote 4, Xerox/Fuji Xerox’s suite of MPS offerings helps clients better manage the volume of documents flowing through the organization – and the costs associated with printing, sharing and updating them. For small businesses to global enterprises, Xerox and Fuji Xerox optimize the use of multi-vendor output devices, like printers, fax machines and copy machines, and delivers change management support so employees can successfully adapt to new technology and work processes. Both companies also help clients meet environmental goals by reducing paper use, decreasing power use and eliminating landfill waste.

Gartner first introduced the MPS category of its Magic Quadrant report last year to help provide guidance to Gartner clients who are evaluating MPS vendors and solutions.
