Krones receives important certifications from the TÜV SÜD

Monday 14. September 2009 - Integration of the management systems (IMS) successfully completed

At drinktec 2009, Krones AG received from the technical inspectorate TÜV SÜD the IMS certificate, an accolade recognised all over the world. For this purpose, the quality management system in force at Krones was upgraded to create an integrated system for quality (DIN EN ISO 9001), environmental protection (DIN EN ISO 14001) and occupational safety (BS OHSAS 18001), and certified by the TÜV SÜD.

First-time validation and certification of the Sustainability Report
In addition, as part of the IMS certification procedure, the TÜV SÜD also verified how far sustainability aspects have been integrated into the management systems. For this reason, the Sustainability Report for 2008 was also successfully validated and certified for the first time.

Sustainability programme enviro also certified
Krones’ sustainability programme enviro was also certified by the TÜV SÜD. This means that Krones can now award individual machines the enviro seal for energy and media-efficiency (gas, water) and eco-compatibility. Moreover, with the enviro passport Krones also provides a high degree of transparency, enabling the consumption data of different machines to be illuminatingly compared. Clients thus have the reassuring certainty that with the enviro seal they are getting ecologically and economically optimised machines.
“With successful IMS certification, Krones is underlining its worldwide market leadership, not least in the quality of its management systems. Moreover, with competence certification for our enviro sustainability programme, we are setting new standards in terms of sustainable products”, said Volker Kronseder, Executive Board Chairman of Krones AG.
