Long term studies in the nineties predict a decentralised production of daily newspaper in Germany and Western Europe. A decentralised production as result of the high logistic efforts and the linked exercise time slot was indicated. May be a trend for the future?

The current concentration is counter rotate. Trend is cooperation and concentration, therewith an upgrade, extension of existing printing plants or new bigger printing facilities which serve several publishing companies.

A growing number of different titles and editions is the result for the daily production.
The actual reduction in impressions and volumes in the core business is leading to acquisitions of related products to use to capacity.  
That makes great demands on all departments, mainly the pre – and post-press department, next to the setup up time of the printing press are requested to handle more different products in time.

For DotLine, manufacturer of CTP solutions, it is the right time to present a new CTP unit. The in 2006 launched and established system NA55Vx gets home made competition.

The new unit DotLine VMAX has a power spectrum from 50 single plates per hour up to unique 400 single plates per hour.
The device is available as semi automatic solution with online processing and fully automatic device with 1000 plates in access.
Plate formats from 300mm by 490mm up to a maximum format of 640mm by 930mm can be exposed.
The fully automatic unit has a modular loading device and allows a straight, left or right orientated plate flow so that it is easy to integrate and of high flexibility.

The modular construction is the basic for effective and cost saving upgrades to follow rising needs on costumer site.

DotLine will launch the unit on IFRA EXPO in Vienna, booth B670.

The innovative, high technology company, actual represented in 7 countries with approx. 80 installations aims with the extension of the product range on an ongoing constant growth.
