HELIOS Software subscription adds flexibility

Wednesday 19. August 2009 - Customers will benefit from mixing purchased and subscription HELIOS software products at the same site. Service providers can offer HELIOS software on a subscription basis for remote or local usage. Using HELIOS software for short terms without long-term investment has become easier and more attractive.

HELIOS Software GmbH has extended its new software subscription program. Now it is possible to mix purchased and subscription products within the same installation. Customers can enhance their existing installation with additional features for image repurposing, PDF handling, remote preview and proofing, as well as general purpose automation. Even adding additional client seats for demanding projects is supported.
HELIOS Software introduces this additional flexibility to their subscription model to address customers’ needs, as well as increase business opportunities for service providers. With the combination of purchase and subscription, customers can adapt to project requirements easily without committing to a long term investment. New services like remote collaboration, document preview and approval solutions might be offered via subscription to match everyone’s budget without financial risk.
Resellers, system integrators and Internet Service Providers (ISP) can now offer HELIOS solutions using different Software as a Service models. Providing servers pre-configured with HELIOS server applications for a specific period or project is one option, which might be enhanced by technical support and training for the customer. ISPs could host WebShare remote file sharing, fully compatible with Mac and Windows files, and accessed via any web browser.
Design and prepress firms can flexibly offer services like image conversion, ICC color matching, and PDF workflow, as well as remote layout and approval. Utilizing a powerful server with HELIOS ImageServer, PDF HandShake, and PrintPreview installed, web access can be provided for different customers with HELIOS WebShare. Using the branding support of WebShare, each customer will see their individual environment. WebShare’s accounting feature allows for different billing options.
