DAY SOFTWARE ELECTS BARRY BYCOFF AS NEW CHAIRMAN
Friday 07. August 2009 - Board Member Barry Bycoff Assumes Chairman Role From Founder Michael Moppert
Day Software (SIX: DAYN, OTCQX: DYIHY), a leading provider of content management and content infrastructure software, today announced the election of Barry Bycoff as Day’s new Chairman of its Board of Directors. Bycoff takes over the position from Day Software’s previous Chairman, Michael Moppert, who will remain an active member of Day’s Board.
“Day’s recently announced results for the first half of 2009 signal a new phase of growth and opportunity,” said Barry Bycoff, Chairman of Day Software. “Day’s CQ5 product suite is a game-changing offering in the content management market. I am pleased to be working with Day’s CEO Erik Hansen and the remainder of the Board to help Day capitalize on this opportunity and build on its recent success.”
Bycoff brings over 25 years of experience building highly profitable market leaders to his role as Chairman. In 1996, Bycoff founded Netegrity and established a new enterprise security product category with identity management software. As Chairman, CEO, and President, Bycoff directed the company’s growth from publicly held start-up to one of the fastest growing software companies in the industry before its acquisition by Computer Associates for $450M in November 2004. Bycoff currently serves as Chairman of the Board at Aveksa, a leading provider of Enterprise Access Governance software, and as Executive Chairman at Progress Software (NASDAQ:PRGS), a leading supplier of application infrastructure.
