HP Signs Workplace Services Agreement with AkzoNobel
Tuesday 04. August 2009 - HP today announced it has signed a five-year workplace services contract with AkzoNobel N.V. that will help reduce costs and increase employee productivity for the Netherlands-based Fortune Global 500 industrial company.
HP will provide AkzoNobel with workplace services for approximately 26,000 employees in 29 countries. This includes a global service desk in 13 languages, application life cycle management, asset management and mobility services.
“As the worlds largest paint manufacturer and a leader in specialty chemicals, were focused on delivering innovative products to our customers,” said Pieter Schoehuijs, chief information officer at AkzoNobel. “HPs workplace services will equip our employees with consistent, high-quality, secure technology support so we can maintain our focus and industry leadership moving forward.”
“By standardizing workplace services worldwide, AkzoNobel will reduce downtime, boost employee productivity and achieve cost savings,” said Bill Thomas, senior vice president of the Europe, Middle East and Africa region at EDS, an HP company. “HP will provide scalability, consistency and expertise while helping to resolve complex hardware and software issues quickly and efficiently.”
