Esser Druck Upgrades its Digital Capability with an HP Indigo press 5500

Monday 03. August 2009 - Esser Druck GmbH, of Bretten, has installed a five-colour HP Indigo press 5500, replacing its HP Indigo press 3050. The company had seen the press at drupa 08 and was impressed with the print quality, higher productivity and German-language interface.

Established in 1905 and now employing 35 people, Esser Druck offers conventional and digital print services. Its digital print offering includes digital book printing for on-demand and trial applications for publishers and agencies, as well as the production of customer-designed calendars for various customers, including football teams and photo image suppliers via a web-to-print facility.

Esser Druck is also using the HP Indigo press 5500 to print photobooks, another growing web-to-print market that demands high quality print. The company handles all aspects of these jobs internally, from job logging and processing to printing, finishing, invoicing and despatch.
