Heidelberg To Host Print Buyer University Oct. 27-30 at Print Media Academy in Germany
Friday 31. July 2009 - Marketing, Purchasing and Production Professionals Will Learn Effective Print Project Management
High quality of brochures, packaging or other printed products are the key to successful marketing communication. The challenge is to usher a job through the procurement and production process while guaranteeing a high level of quality, regardless of where and when a job is printed. At its four-day “Print Buyer University” to be held Oct. 27-30 at Heidelbergs Print Media Academy in Heidelberg, Germany, marketing, purchasing and production professionals in advertising agencies, publishing companies and manufacturers will learn how to take offset printed projects to a new and more effective level.
Whether they handle print projects for their own company or for a client, participants will benefit enormously from this program of information-packed seminars and workshops that emphasize practical experience. The program, which is designed to supplement their existing expertise in areas such as design, marketing or purchasing, will provide attendees with indispensable expert knowledge intended to help them manage offset printed projects in order to achieve the highest quality. Participants also will be provided with guidance in applying international standards for drawing up job specifications and selecting providers. They will be able to judge print quality and make “press pass” decisions with confidence. Working groups will be kept small to ensure effective learning, and Heidelbergs technical facilities will be available for practical exercises involving actual press runs. At the end of the program, participants will be certified as “Print Media Advisors” to document their ability to manage complex offset printed projects.
The Print Buyer University will take place from Oct. 27-30 in Heidelberg, Germany. Registrations should be sent to the Print Media Academy by Sept. 4.
