WEYERHAEUSER CLOSES ALL TREE FARMS TO PUBLIC ACCESS DUE TO EXTREME HIGH FIRE DANGER IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST
Thursday 30. July 2009 - Due to the extreme high fire danger brought on by mid-summer 100 degree weather, Weyerhaeuser Company is closing all tree farms to public access in both Oregon and Washington.
Visitors planning a trip to Weyerhaeuser forestlands in Oregon and Washington are reminded to call the companys statewide, toll-free telephone numbers before heading out to the woods.
In Washington, tree farms in the Vail, Aberdeen, Raymond and St. Helens operating areas will be indefinitely closed to public recreational access.
In Oregon, tree farms in the North Coast, North Willamette Valley, South Willamette Valley, Springfield, and Coos Bay operating areas will be indefinitely closed to public recreational access.
