Tensor Group Newspaper Press Sold to Vietnamese Printing Company
Wednesday 29. July 2009 - Tensor Group, Inc., a premier U.S. manufacturer of web offset press equipment, sold a two tower, one folder newspaper press to Can Tho General Printing Joint Stock Company of Cantho City, Vietnam this week.
The shaft-driven single wide Tensor T-400BE press with an H-50 folder will be installed in the fourth quarter of this year, exponentially increasing Can Tho General Printing’s newspaper production volume. The towers will be fed by four splicers, with possible capacity up to 32 pages of 2-color tabloid. Can Tho General Printing currently plans to run 24 tabloid pages with 8 pages of 4-color and 16 pages of 2-color. A number of dailies and weeklies will be printed on the Tensor press.
Can Tho General Printing, in business for over three decades, prints a variety of magazines, books and newspapers on existing presses. The new Tensor press will support the increased demand for newspapers in Vietnam. Mr. Tran Binh Trong, Chairman of the Board/Executive President, along with the board members of Can Tho General Printing, are confident the Tensor equipment investment will help position the company to gain a substantial competitive advantage and lead the company into a key profitable stage. “After careful review and comparisons of other equipment in the marketplace, we chose Tensor specifically for its excellent quality and superior service reputations,” stated Tran Binh Trong.
VINA Printing Equipment Corporation of Ho Chi Minh City will provide local service support to Can Tho General Printing. Dan Huynh of VINA, Tensor’s sales and service agent for Vietnam, has nearly 30 years of printing, converting and finishing experience and provides consulting services with proven solutions to the industry.
