The Goss International booth will include a series of displays, each outlining a specific example of how technologies have been applied to drive down costs, improve productivity, pursue new opportunities and enhance the overall value of print. Ferag MultiLog bundling technology will be also be demonstrated live, and the latest developments in the GossRSVP media-to-mobile program will be featured.
“We have an advanced and extensive technology portfolio, and several new ideas for combining and applying our technologies are just beginning to catch the attention of printers and publishers,” explains Goss International sales vice president Graham Trevett. “The Print Show presents an excellent chance to explore how we can work together to challenge the status quo and pursue inventive new production scenarios.”
Individual displays at the Goss International Print ’09 booth will cover new web offset alternatives for sheetfed and packaging applications and the recent start-up of the world’s first 96-page web offset press, a Goss Sunday 5000 system. Automated commercial web systems featuring Automatic Transfer technology and the Goss Web Center digital workflow will also be presented, along with unique solutions for crossover newspaper-commercial production requirements.
Live demonstrations of Ferag STR-100 conveying technology together with the MultiLog bundler will emphasize how its speed and log quality can enable new, more efficient finishing workflows. Goss International represents Ferag products in North America.
Trevett emphasizes that the Goss International focus on New Ways for Print will extend to enhancements that deliver a fast return on investment and make existing systems more productive, competitive and environmentally friendly. “DigiRail inking, Ecobox and Ecochill heatset dryer enhancements, Triliner triple-around newspaper press conversions and comprehensive service programs are just a few of the latest Goss technologies that we look forward to discussing at Print ’09,” he adds.
