High-profile political presence at the opening of IFRA Expo 2009 in Vienna – the Annual Event of the Newspaper and Media Industry
Thursday 23. July 2009 - The Top Event of the News Publishing Industry that keeps you on course: from 12 to 15 October 2009 in Vienna
IFRA Expo offers trendsetting technologies, new business models and innovations to safely lead newspaper publishing houses and media operations into a successful future in difficult times. From 12 to 15 October, IFRA Expo 2009 will take place under the motto “Your essential GPS – THE News Publishing Event to help navigate your Course” in the Reed Messe Wien exhibition grounds (www.ifraexpo.com – www.messe.at).
At 9.30 h on Monday, 12 October, IFRA Expo will be officially opened by the President of the Republic of Austria, Dr. Heinz Fischer, and by the Austrian Prime Minister, Werner Faymann. All exhibition participants and media representatives are cordially invited to attend the opening ceremony in the foyer of the Reed Messe.
“In this very difficult year for the industry, the Annual Event of the News Publishing Industry aims both to showcase the current state of the industry as well as to provide direction for the future. According to a 2009 study of the Mercer consulting company, Vienna is the city that offers the highest quality of life standard worldwide – based on the stability, safety, good accessibility and tourist attractions offered by the Austrian capital. The city on the Danube is always worth a visit and is therefore the perfect venue for IFRA Expo 2009. This is where visitors meet industry colleagues from all over the world in a professional and relaxed atmosphere”, says Michael Heipel, responsible for the IFRA Expo 2009 exhibition at WAN-IFRA.
For whom is the exhibition important?
More than 90 percent of IFRA Expo visitors are decision-makers at publishing houses: Advertising Managers, Operating Managers, Business Development Managers, Chief Editors, Managing Editors, Chief Information Officers, Prepress Managers, Purchasing Managers, Managing Directors/CEOs, IT Managers, Heads of R&D and Heads of Online Publishing, Marketing Managers, Production and Technical Managers, Mailroom and Distribution Managers. IFRA Expo offers something of interest for everyone who publishes in print, online or mobile. This includes magazine publishers as well as decision-makers from the area of corporate publishing. For the first time, WAN-IFRA has agreed a cooperation with the Forum Corporate Publishing and offers special accompanying events for decision-makers in the corporate communication area.
