Sonoco Board Declares Regular Quarterly Common Stock Dividend

Thursday 16. July 2009 - The Board of Directors of Sonoco (NYSE: SON) today declared a regular quarterly dividend of $.27 per common share.

This 337th consecutive quarterly dividend will be payable September 10, 2009, to shareholders of record as of August 21, 2009.
