New Goss service plan offers cost control for European printers
Wednesday 15. July 2009 - Plan designed to control press performance and associated costs; Comprehensive range of Goss International services included in portfolio
Goss International has developed a new versatile and cost-effective service solution for printers and publishers operating Goss equipment throughout Europe.
“The launch of the Goss Flexible Value Service Plan in Europe is in response to the requirement for cost-effective, pre-planned, and yet adaptable, service – which is particularly crucial in the current economic climate,” says Antoine Chevalier, Goss International customer service director. “When revenue is under pressure, it’s essential for printers to consider long-term press maintenance rather than planning to deal with issues as they arise, as lost production time, questionable quality and unexpected costs might be the result.”
The Goss Flexible Value Service Plan allows printers to purchase a bank’ of service hours at discounted rates, on an annual basis. Banked hours are redeemable against any number of services and are backed by the Goss International warranty. A proportion of service hours unclaimed in a twelve-month period may also be eligible for transfer to the subsequent year.
According to Chevalier banked’ hours can also be used for routine maintenance or emergency work. “With no premium charges for call-outs or out-of-hours work, and monthly payments to spread the cost, the Goss Flexible Value Service Plan provides our customers with excellent cash flow control.”
Chevalier notes that customers can also benefit from Goss International project management expertise when they opt for the Goss Flexible Value Service Plan. Consultation with an experienced project engineer will ensure minimum disruption to normal operations whilst achieving optimum press performance. “And if an unanticipated emergency situation arises, service engineers will always react with urgency,” he confirms.
Further Lifetime Support service programmes for European customers are available from Goss International, including Routine Maintenance and Standard Lifetime Support Services. Routine Maintenance provides planned maintenance at pre-arranged times, around the production schedule of the customer. Standard Lifetime Support services include: predictive or preventative maintenance, print or maintenance training, press room management and trouble shooting, remote diagnostics, press recalibrations, printed copy analysis, enhancements, press audits, press refurbishments, health and safety inspections, thermographic imaging inspections and emergency 24-hour technical assistance.
Chevalier concludes, “The objective of the Goss Flexible Value Service Plan is to help our customers maintain optimum performance from their presses. Our New Ways approach delivers a customised package that is cost-effective, flexible and, best of all, provides guaranteed quality workmanship.”
