Monday 06. July 2009 - Davidson Consulting Recognizes Kofax’s Nearly 30 Percent Market Share

Kofax plc (LSE: KFX), the leading provider of Intelligent Capture & Exchange solutions, today announced it has been recognized as the global leader in the production fax market by Davidson Consulting, a market research and consulting firm that is considered to be the leading authority on the production fax industry. In its recent report titled “Computer-Based Fax Markets Report 2008-2013” by Peter Davidson, the firm’s lead analyst, positioned Kofax as the leading production fax vendor with nearly a 30 percent market share.

“Kofax presents a very comprehensive offering for organizations looking to streamline and reduce operating costs with regard to automating document-driven business processes,” noted Davidson. “Headed into 2010, Kofax is well positioned with its products and solutions to support the growth opportunities in the market, which include production fax, inbound and outbound communications, and document routing, workflow and archive for compliance purposes.”

Kofax Communication Server 8.1 was highlighted for its ability to ensure the reliable receipt, exchange and output of business critical information between applications, devices and people. The product is also credited for being able to handle virtually any communications format – including e-mails, faxes, voice mails, SMS, MMS, Telex and others – and enabling data to be converted from one format to another, with each message to be optionally archived for compliance purposes.

“This report validates that we’re delivering the most efficient and effective communications products for automating and accelerating business processes,” said Jim Nicol, Executive Vice President of Products at Kofax. “One of our key advantages is that our communication products can interface with a customer’s existing systems without requiring additional infrastructure investments. As a result, the total cost of ownership can be significantly reduced while substantially improving system capabilities and performance.”
