QUADTECH BRINGS CLOSED-LOOP COLOR CONTROL TO PERU
Thursday 25. June 2009 - QuadTech customer, MetroColor, S.A., a Lima, Peru-based offset and digital printer that specializes in catalogs, books, cosmetic and flexo packaging, is the first company in Peru to use closed-loop color control, after installing QuadTech's ICON integrated product platform. The network-based ICON platform allows operation of automated press controls from a single, centralized station.
QuadTech products installed on MetroColor’s brand new Goss Sunday 2000 press include the Register Guidance System with Vector, Ribbon Control System with MultiCam Color Control System with Instrument Flight, and Data Central application. As the worlds preeminent designer and manufacturer of automated print controls, QuadTech is proud to be the first provider of this kind of equipment to Peru. QuadTech’s state-of-the-art systems allow cutting-edge companies like MetroColor to print high quality products with consistent color, while reducing start-up waste. This allows them to keep their competitive edge in todays market.
“MetroColor selected these solutions because of QuadTechs prior performance and its reputation in the industry,” said Manuel Hidalgo, MetroColor’s Production Director. “QuadTechs continual leadership and commitment to the customers experience is why we chose to bring the QuadTech press automation to MetroColor, and to Peru.”
The partnership between MetroColor and QuadTech demonstrates QuadTechs growing presence on the world market. As newspapers and commercial printers continually work to improve color quality and implement advanced technology into their printing capabilities, they have increasingly depended on products from QuadTech to help them to meet their objectives.
“We are excited to be delivering these kinds of efficiencies to the Peruvian printing industry,” said Karl Fritchen, President of QuadTech. “This is yet another example demonstrating that we’re the print industrys global technology leader. By offering quality innovations like the ICON product platform, and forming strong bonds with customers, we will continue to meet the demands of the global marketplace.”
MetroColor installed the QuadTech press controls at its Lima, Peru headquarters in October 2008.
