Corriere del Ticino investing in modern technology
Friday 19. June 2009 - Società Editrice Corriere del Ticino SA in Muzzano, a longtime customer WIFAG, made a decision in April of this year to purchase a WIFAG evolution 371.
Società Editrice Corriere del Ticino SA publishes the daily Corriere del Ticino and Giornale del Popolo. In addition to its own printed products, Società Editrice Corriere del Ticino SA provides services to other publishers, printing weekly papers and brochures for them. With this investment and the already completed renovation of the mail room, the position of Società Editrice Corriere del Ticino SA as a leading publishing company in the canton of Ticino is confirmed.
The new press replaces a WIFAG OF 9.2/370. The configuration of the doublewide, two-page-around, blanket-to-blanket WIFAG evolution 371 consists of four 4-high towers, four M-type autopasters and one jaw folder in a ratio of 2:5:5. The press has controls for cutoff and color registers and a folder superstructure including stichers for individual configuration of the book structure. Over 95000 copies of a tabloid up to 128 pages, all four-color, can be produced per hour.
The press will be delivered in March 2010, with production scheduled to begin in June 2010. This new order is a substantiation of mutual trust and good working relationship between both companies over the past years.
