Tieto and Neste Oil renew their service agreement and enter into closer co-operation

Monday 15. June 2009 - Tieto and Neste Oil have renewed their framework and service agreements related to projects, application management and technical consulting. This comes after a long and thorough process of mapping out business risks, as well as defining contract and operational models that support the implementation of ICT systems.

Co-operation between Neste, which is one of Finland’s largest companies, and Tieto goes back several years. Tieto provides Neste with ICT services related to the internet, customer relationship management, order and delivery, logistics and corporate-wide knowledge management, as well as harbour transactions. Implementation of the agreement’s operational models will increase efficiency and enables further expansion and deepening of co-operation.

“We’ve worked on developing agreement and operational models that we can use to create a secure and functional basis for implementing projects and services for a long time to come. The framework agreement we’ve entered into with Tieto is an important milestone on this journey and, on this basis, we anticipate closer co-operation in the future,” says CIO Kari Keskiivari from Neste Oil.

“Tieto is responsible for the administration of many important information systems for Neste Oil. By renewing our co-operational model, we ensure that Tieto can also support Neste Oil’s business goals with our own, extensive service offering on a global scale,” says Esa Manneri, who is responsible for the customer relationship at Tieto.
