Goss Internationals Ragy Isaac certified as G7 Expert
Monday 08. June 2009 - Ragy Isaac, quality director at Goss International, has been certified by IDEAlliance as a G7 Expert. The designation confirms Isaac's expertise in evaluating and improving print quality capabilities at printing operations and allows him to certify qualifying companies as G7 Masters, an important designation recognized by print buyers.
G7 is an industry methodology developed by IDEAlliance for the calibration of proofing and press systems across any printing method to improve print quality and consistency.
“Print quality audits, enhancements and process improvements are important parts of our Goss Lifetime Support program”, explains Goss International vice president Wesley Clements. “This certification confirms Ragy’s expertise and is a further indication of his commitment – and our commitment – to making our customers more productive and more competitive.”
Isaac was promoted to quality director at Goss International after joining the organization as a principal scientist. “For many years, Ragy has provided valuable press technology, chemical, and statistical knowledge that has benefited our entire industry,” Clements adds.
Isaac says that Goss International provides a one-stop-shop for printers and publishers and that the company’s quality audit is the glue that binds prepress, press, consumables, suppliers, and the process together. “The G7 Qualification is now included as part of our audit, and our Six Sigma training helps our customers increase profitability, improve quality and establish the means to exceed the expectations of their customers,” he explains.
IDEAlliance certifies professionals in the field of color management, process and quality control for proofing and printing equipment as G7 Experts. To qualify, an Expert must demonstrate an ability to analyze color and print related issues and take corrective action to bring systems and processes in control to a set method, standard or specification with repeatable predictable results. G7 Experts act as consultants to agencies, printers and publishers. They also represent IDEAlliance in qualifying printing operations as G7 Master facilities.
