BROWN PRINTING CREW QUALIFIES FOR GOSS INTERNATIONAL PACESETTER CLUB

Monday 08. June 2009 - Brown Printing Company announced today that a bindery crew at their East Greenville, PA facility is the latest to qualify for the Goss International Pacesetter Club. The Pacesetter Club was established in 1997.

To qualify, individual crews must finish products at rates very close to the maximum speed of a Goss saddlestitcher or adhesive binder model over an entire eight- to twelve-hour shift. The team finished 164,496 magazines in eight hours in early May, averaging more than 20,500 per hour with the servo-driven Pacesetter 2200 stitcher. Lead operators during the shift were Shawn Palinkas and Ken Snovel, and crew members included Gene Reitnauer, Britni Greene, Christine Weeks, and Duane Krob. ìThe Pacesetter Club program provides incentive and recognition for some of the best finishing crews in the industry, and highlights the net productivity that can be achieved when our technology and their expertise come together,î explains Graham Trevett, Goss International Vice President. ìThe new Pacesetter technology has completely changed the stitching environment as weíve known it, and dramatically increased our productivity while maintaining Brownís standards for high quality finishing,î according to Buddy Miller, Saddlestitcher Manager at the Brownës East Greenville, PA Facility. ìQualifying for the Pacesetter Club was a goal from day one, and we now have the people and the technology in place to hit this level of productivity and quality on a regular basis
