Vertis Communications Appoints Carmen Allen as Senior Vice President of Human Resources

Tuesday 02. June 2009 - Vertis Communications, a premier marketing services provider of targeted print advertising and direct marketing solutions to America's leading retail and consumer services companies, announced today that Carmen Allen has been appointed senior vice president of human resources.

In her new role, she will provide strategic direction for Vertis’ employee and labor relations, training design, talent acquisition, compliance and leadership development.

Allen, chief executive officer for Vertis. “Carmen’s ability to unify the organizational vision will be instrumental to Vertis’ diverse employee base and dynamic service offerings, as we uncover new opportunities and innovate results-driven marketing and advertising campaigns for our customers.”

Prior to joining Vertis, Carmen Allen was at Bausch & Lomb for 13 years, most recently serving as vice president of human resources for global business operations. Allen also served in leadership positions and key human resources roles at Fisons Corporation, Eastman Kodak Company, Levi Strauss and Emerson Electric. Allen holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration management from the University of Missouri, as well as an MBA from the University of Rochester.
