Eastman to Showcase Eastman Solus Technology Platform at European Coatings Show
Monday 18. May 2009 - Eastman Chemical Company will showcase its Eastman SolusTM performance additive technology platform from Hall 9, Stand 9-305 at the European Coatings Show in Nuremberg, March 31-April 2.
Eastman Solus 2100 performance additive has met with great success since its introduction at ECS in 2007.Aperformance additive for high solids coating applications that can improve drying time and optimize overall film formation, Solus 2100 improves application efficiency and lowers overall system costs in high solids applications.
Originally engineered for automotive coatings, Eastman Solus 2100 has been adapted for a wide variety of application use, including industrial maintenance and high-end cabinetry and furniture coatings.
Dr. Deepanjan Bhattacharya, Research Associate in the Specialty Coatings Application Development group at Eastman Chemical Company will be presenting a paper on April 1 detailing new performance additives that are designed to meet challenges in terms of Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) regulations for both waterborne and solventborne systems. His presentation is entitled Leveraging Fundamental Structure-Property Relationships to Develop Solutions for Compliant Coating Systems. Bhattacharya will also highlight the natural renewability of Eastmans Cellulose Esters, as it comprises nearly up to 60% of every Cellulose Ester product offering.
