Heiler Software continues growth in the 2nd quarter 2008/09

May 2009 - Heiler Software AG, one of the leading providers of electronic product information solutions and catalogue management systems increased consolidated sales revenues in the second quarter of fiscal year 2008/09 (01/01/2009 - 03/31/2009) from 2.96 million Euro to 2.98 million Euro and thus - in terms of sales revenues - realized the strongest second quarter and with sales revenues of 6.23 million Euro its strongest first fiscal half (prior year: 5.87 million Euro) of its corporate history.
Product business was especially characterized by a further increase of maintenance revenues from 0.48 million Euro to 0.60 million Euro (+25%) and of hosting/Application Service Providing (ASP)-revenues from 0.27 million Euro to 0.29 million Euro (+10%). Contrary, software license revenues decreased from 0.74 million Euro to 0.55 million Euro (-25%) when compared to the corresponding period of the prior year. Consulting business improved from 1.44 million Euro to 1.46 million Euro (+1%).
Gross profit for the second fiscal quarter 2008/09 slightly decreased from 1.51 million Euro to 1.48 million Euro. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) decreased from 0.02 million Euro to -0.04 million Euro when compared to the corresponding period of the prior year. EBIT for the first fiscal half 2008/09 improved from -0.07 million Euro to 0.04 million Euro when compared to the prior year. Earnings before taxes and net income for the period for the second fiscal quarter 2008/09 both decreased from 0.16 million Euro to 0.03 million Euro and for the first fiscal half 2008/09 both decreased from 0.23 million Euro to 0.21 million Euro when compared to the respective periods of the prior year. The decrease mainly relates to lower interest revenues due to the decreasing market interest rate level.
Liquid funds increased in the second quarter 2008/09 from 14.05 million Euro to 14.20 million Euro and shareholdersÂ’ equity increased from 21.29 million Euro to 21.37 million Euro (equals 87% of balance sheet total).
Management still expects for the current fiscal year an above the software market one-digit sales growth and a positive result.
